Card Party!

On Thursday I joined some of my favorite stampers for a summer card party! It had been forever since I had seen most of them so it was super fun!

This is a bit smaller than a regular size card (its 3.5 x 3.50) but it was a cute and quick creation. I created this card as a copy of another card in the Big Catalog but altered a few things.

Again, this is an altered version of a card from the catalog.

This started out as a copy from the catalog, but it really looks nothing like what the original one does.

I used the build a blossom punch to create the flowers. If you click Here you can see where I got the idea from.
And yet another creation from the catalog that has been altered...

Now.... These are COOL!!! A fellow scrap/stamp/crafter that I work with sent me THIS video with a fabulous idea. It uses SU satin ribbon and a heat gun to create these AWESOME flowers. How cute are these??? They were super easy to make too. This is only my first one, and there a few adjustments I will make next time, but over all it was an easy thing to create.

Enjoy what is left of summer.... If we ever see the sun again.

Halloween???

I don't know if it is the weather but I am really excited for Halloween today. I made these cute little treat holders filled with Mini Reeses Peanutbutter cups. I put two tags together and made a box to fit it and decorated it using my Wicked Cool Halloween stamp set.

I am off to a stamp party tonight so I will post my pictures tomorrow

More Thank yous

Here is my second round of thank you cards!

This one I started yesterday, but as you can see EVERYTHING is cut out.... So it took me a little while to get all the pieces put together. But I really loved how it turned out.

This card is for some of my mom's friends. Those that know me would tell you that I am slightly obsessed with cupcakes... My mom was in D.C. last week and got me some Red Velvet cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcakes!! I love the show on TLC and was super excited to get them. So these thank yous are for her friends that helped her get them to me!

My last little card is actually only a 4 x 4 card. It just has some cute flower pedals and a little thank you.

I still haven't made all of the ones I need, so I am working away today. My goal is to get them done in a few hours so I can move on to playing around with my wedding invitations.

Thank You Cards

This past weekend Sean and I were given an engagement party to celebrate our engagement. So this week I am working on all of the thank yous that we will be sending out. I thought it would be easier to make a bunch that were all the same, but then I got bored and had to change it up after a while. This first card is super cute because it is all of my favorite colors that are nice and bright. For this next card, I started off with only pink flowers. But Sean said this was his favorite card and that I should make hundreds... Too bad boys don't understand how long it takes to make one let alone a hundred. Anyway, so I took what he said and changed it up so that the flowers were yellow.

Even though Sean wanted me to make a hundred of this card, I think I need to change up my design and move on... I'll be working for the rest of the week on different Thank yous so be sure to check back. I am also going to take a stab at the wedding invites. I have quite a while to put them together so I am going to see exactly how difficult it will be to make my own... Who knows, I could give up and just give in and buy them. We'll see.

Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Cards

What else is there to do in the summer when you don't have to work..... Stamp!!

Here are some cards I created for some new friends last weekend.

This stamp set, Flower Fest is not only featured in our Summer Mini, but it made its way into the new BIG Catalog. If you haven't seen the new Pennants set you have to check it out! It also has a matching punch to make things even easier!

This is a CUTE new set and I love the little creatures. There are a ton of little wild animals to choose from.

This set is an oldie but goodie! I snagged this card (well part of it) out of the new catalog and tried my best to make everything straight with the help of the Stamp-a-ma-jig!

I have used this set a few times now and just love the little Kitty! This is in the Summer Mini, so if you like it, you'd better get it before its gone!

For me, summer is almost over. :-( So let me know if you would like to stamp and have a great time! Once school starts and I am back to reality, there is no telling what will come up.

Have a great day~

Scrapbook Central

It's that time of year again for me to put together scrapbooks for my seniors! Thankfully this year I only have 2.... Next year I have 6!!!!!

For those of you that have been to my house, you know that when you walk in my front door, you are met with a whole lot of NOTHING! Well, not any more. I have taken over the front room with my mess of paper and other stuff... My desk in my scrap room wasn't big enough and it was already a bit messy... So instead, I just created an even bigger mess downstairs... BUT I did finish my books!

Now it is operation clean up! Sean is helping a friend today so I am going to try and push through with out distractions and clean it up... Obviously that isn't working since I am posting on my blog rather than picking up the mess....

Oh well! Here are some pictures so you can see just how scattered it actually is....

When you walk in the door, this is what you are greeted with....

Here is a sample of the card that all of the underclass girls will get

(I still need to add a ribbon to the end)

Inside each is a picture of the team I took last week after our last assembly performance.

Here is the cover to the Seniors scrapbooks

Just a shot of what is inside. I cut all the words out using my Silhouette! I LOVE IT!!

Well it looks like I need to go pick up my mess now! Wish me luck! I am feeling a little crafty today so I suppose if I get distracted again there will be another post.

Way Too Long!

Wow! I can't even believe that it has been so long since I last posted. I guess that tells you how super busy I have been.... I have a lot of info to share so make sure to check out the whole post...

Well to start things off .... Here are my latest creations.... I did a little card class for Sean's mom and her friends and this is what they made.... Oh, and I started to figure out how to finally use my camera and take better close up pictures!!!

This card has some 3-D flowers that we cut out and we used the masking technique. I wasn't sure where it was going to go, but I love how it turned out.

This Card I stole from Becky Roberts
blog. She always has wonderful ideas. Check her out if you haven't already....

Here is a close up on the flip flops. Anyone that knows me, knows that I LIVE in flip flops all year round.... Even in the snow...

For this card I used the new colored embossing powder in the Summer mini catalog.

I don't know how well you can tell, but its there :-)

I thought this stamp set was super cute. I didn't quite know what I would make with it, but this is one of the creations I came up with.

Now on to some announcements...

Each year on June 1st, the retired list is posted. Once these items are gone from the warehouse, they are gone for good. If you might want something on the list, get it before its too late.

You can click on the links below to see what will be retiring.

Let me know if you would like to order anything or you can check out my SU website and place an order through there.

One last thing.... (for now)

If you would like to pre-order a 2011-2012 catalog please email me at brightpinksprinkles@comcast.net

I will be getting the new catalogs in soon and I want to make sure I order enough. I had way too many extras this last year so I will be cutting back and I don't want anyone to get left out.

Have a great day!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Bash!

Last weekend, my friend Tami over on Finally Fit at Forty hosted a stamp party. If you haven't checked out her blog, make sure you take the time. She is amazing and has an awesome story to share. Anyway, her theme was Birthday cards! Here are a few of the cards we made. This one was inspired from Inking Idaho. The squares were punched out and then the entire background was run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I wish I took better pictures so you could really see how awesome it looks. This card was my favorite! I saw something similar on a blog but couldn't remember where.... But I loved the pink color combo.
I Cased this one from a blog as well.... I tried to find it again so I could give credit, but wasn't successful, so if this is yours, let me know so I can add your name.
This last card used the cupcake stamp set and punch from the Occasions Mini catalog. I tried to show that my little cherry was glossy but again, my picture taking skills aren't the best.
Happy Stamping and thanks for checking me out!
